Rainbow Chloe & Decoupage

Hi there Donna here, I have a card to show you that I made using a couple of techniques.

Decoupage & out of the box.

The gorgeous image I have chosen to use is one of the new ones from Pink Gem Designs this little cutie is called Rainbow Chloe and you will receive 2 black & white images and two coloured images.

Although, like most of you, I LOVE to sit and colour in, the pre-coloured versions are perfect for decoupage as you can print off lots of the same image.

Firstly you will need to download the pre coloured image into word and then copy and paste three times, you should now have four images exactly the same when printed off.

Diecut one of the images using a die ( I used Spellbinders Labels 1) using the out of the box technique.

Choose which part of the image you wish to have peeking out of the die and cut around it, place the die into position with the cutting edge down (as shown below). When you put the die into place lift the section that will pop out so that it is above the die. This will stop it from being cut off when you run the die through the cutting machine.

Then you will need to cut out sections of the other three images to use as decoupage as shown below.

Then layer up the decoupage on to the main image and use to make into a card.

Hope you enjoyed my little project, make sure you pop back soon as my teamies always have something gorgeous to inspire everyone.

Quick n easy Chloe with background.

I thought it was time I had a play with Janets NEW background images so heres what I came up with..This is all ONE layer, I used my Greeting card factory programme Ive had a long time so am sure all the older versions will work the same & the Serif programmes. 1st I used the sky & grass B/ground, then the tree, the fence was made by duplicating it 3 times & placing across the bottom, last I placed & sized sweet Chloe, layered her on the brought front .. when I was happy with the positions just print..as all these images are Pre-coloured all thats needed is the pretty whimsical sentiment a few punched B/flies dabs of stickles glitter & your done..

Pinkgemdesigns  digi images used..

Sitting Pretty

Hi all,

Lyndsey here today to show you a card I made for the new Forever Friends Challenge. Pink Gem is sponsering the challenge this fortnight and us girls were asked if we wanted to guest design, a few of us said yes and here is my creation. The challenge theme is Ribbon & or Lace - so nice and easy!!

I have used the gorgeous Faye with Flowers, and used the B&W image and coloured her with my promarkers. The image also comes as a pre-coloured design, so great if you need to make a card in a hurry.

Promarkers used to colour the image are

Skin - Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Oatmeal & Blush
Hair - Walnut, Cinnamon, Tan & Satin
Clothes - China Blue, Cornflower, Pastel Blue & Powder Blue
Flowers - Raw Siena, Mustard & Buttercup (centre) - Almond & Satin (petals)

Here is the sketch if you fancy having a play yourself

Thank you for dropping by the inspiration blog today

Lyndsey xx

Merging digistamps together...

Happy Sunday Pink Gem Fans,

Today I want to show you how simple it is to merge a couple of Pink Gem Designs Digistamps together.
You need a photo editing program like photoshop, gimp or something simular.
For my card I used the following digistamps...
and

First I open one of the background papers (Sorry for the weird looking pictures as it is horrible to take pictures of my laptopscreen.) for this card I wanted the blue clouds with green grass, there are 6 different designs to choose from all clouds, clouds with snow, with sand etc...
Then I opened the fence and choose the PNG version for this and also the uncoloured one as I wanted to colour it myself. Select the outlines of the fence and Control C to copy the image and Control V to paste the image onto the background paper.
You now can easily make the fence as big or as small as you want for your total image.
then I did the same with this cute Chloe digistamp again I opened her as a PNG and uncoloured. Then select the Chloe image and copy and paste her onto the background and fence picture.
Now place Chloe wherever you want her in front of the fence. And make her smaller or bigger.
I did the same thing with the Happy birthday sentiment from the new Whimsical sentiment set.
And added it to the lower grass in the background, as I wanted it to be a real part of the picture. Before you now go further make it one layer in your software. And safe it as a jpg file on your computer somewhere.
This is how it looks when I printed it. Because we used PNG file all the images are nicely stacked onto eachother and you can colour them perfectly as nothing is lost. If you can not work with photoediting software then you always can just print each part seperately and cut and glue them to stack them the same way. But i can promise you it will be so much easier if you do it with the computer.
So now it is ready to be coloured. I used Copics, Spectrum Noir markers and Prismacolor pencils with odorless spirit as I love this combination. Here I have coloured some parts already with the markers.

And this is my finished card. I totally love how it turned out.

The papers are from DCWV, Punches used by Martha Steward and EK Success, Pearl, Bling Brads, Ribbon and Lace.

I hope you like how I got the finished result :)

Ewe Make Me Smile, and Flower Heart

Hello!

Shea here, and I wanted to share my first card for the Gems of Inspiration blog using a couple of cute stamps, Ewe Make Me Smile, found here and Flower Heart, found here.

The colors are a little unusual for a Valentine's card, but that's the nature of the card maker's game. I LOVE this little lamb.  She lends herself to all sorts of woolly fun, in this case using a product called Puffies to puff up her coat.

I colored the Flower Heart with chalks.  The rest of the details are on my blog, but I just wanted to share her here as well.  Pink Gems Designs stamps are super fun to color, so hop on over to see the new designs and old favorites!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Happy crafting!

Chloe in knitted hat...

Ahhh have you all seen the new digistamps that Janet has released last week... When I saw Chloe in knitted hat I runned to the store grabbed her, printed her and coloured her with Copics, Spectrum Noir markers and Prismacolor pencils. I so love to combine my markers with pencils as the shading goes a little bit easier and you don't waste alot of the precious ink hahahahahaha But we need to convince Janet that she needs to create a couple more sceneries as now I had to draw my own and I know I can but it is better if she does them whahahahhaha.....

Paper is from the Eva paperpad by Basic Grey one of my all time favourites. Wish the end was not coming near for this beautifull pad as I almost use it all now ;)

Okay hope you enjoyed my Chloe card and wish you all a very creative week.
