Jaffa Giraffe

Morning All.

Have you seen the fabulous Children’s challenge we have running? If not you can find all the details here.

Unfortunately Mr 7, Miss 4 and I started the Summer holidays with some nasty sore throats so we didn’t get chance to join in at the start of the challenge, but we’re back to crafting now and here is a card Elliot (Mr 7) made for his cousin for her birthday.

He used Jaffa Giraffe, but he wanted a big and little Giraffe inside a heart so I merged two images and shrunk one smaller before printing and he drew the heart by hand.

School Boy Andy

Morning All. It’s Lisa here today.

School holidays for us started last Wednesday and for me it’s that time of year where everything is so busy, gardening to do, children to entertain, holiday’s to pack for a and of course time for crafting.

My eldest, Elliot, has just finished his first year at school and has had a really great time. The teachers and assistants have been so lovely and I wanted to make them all something special.

So I made this card for Elliot’s teacher using the super cute School Boy Andy, who reminds me just a little of my boy all dressed up in his uniform.

Elliot has progressed really well this year and I was super proud when he wrote on all the inserts himself, even deciding what he wanted to write.

Chloe with Kitten

Morning All. The start of another month and we are on the home stretch to the Summer Holidays. I’m looking forward to a break from the routine.

When I was making this months page I didn’t really have a set idea in mind so I went with more of a colour theme and as the lavender in my garden is usually in bloom this time of year I picked DP and embellishments in lilac and purple tones. I couldn’t resist using cute little Chloe with Kitten…

Time for Ice Cream

Morning All. Wow where is the time going? We're almost at the end of June and I’ve been so busy out in the garden that I forgot to pop on and share my calendar page for June.

We’ve been enjoying some fabulous weather for the last few weeks here in the UK and when the weather is hot what better way to cool down than a nice tasty ice-cream? So I used Chloe with Ice Cream:

May Flowers

Morning All. We’re beginning a new month and the weather here in the UK seems to be improving. So before I head out into the garden I thought I would show you the May page of my desk calendar (links for the previous pages are at the end of the post).

Looking back my theme for this month’s page should have been obvious… the rhyme is April Showers brings May Flowers….but doh I forgot and there isn’t a flower in sight! Instead I went for a mix of things that often appear at this time of year, butterflies, rainbows, etc and I’ve used Rainbow Chloe…

April is Time for Showers…

Morning All. It’s the start of a new month and I’m here to show you the April page of my desk calendar (links for the previous pages are at the end of the post).

I  decided against using Easter as my theme for this month’s page as I have made the calendar so I can remove the calendar tabs and update to reuse year after year and Easter sometimes fall at the end of March.  Instead I went with the theme of ‘April Showers’ and used Chloe in the Rain, but secretly I’m hoping for some lovely warm spring weather

March is time for Spring Flowers

Morning All. It’s the start of a new month and I’m here to show you the March page of my desk calendar (links for the previous pages are at the end of the post).

By this point in the year I have always had enough of the cold weather and I’m longing for spring so for this months page I’ve used Chloe with Daffodils:

Mini Chloe

Good Morning All. Hope everyone is well and those with wee ones (like me) are enjoying the half term break.

I seem to be spending a lot of time colouring lately but don’t always have the Mojo to actually turn the coloured images into cards. One solution I’ve found is to make very clean and simple cards. Here is one I’ve made using Mini Chloe:

February is time for Love

Morning All. It’s the start of a new month and I’m here to show you the February page of my desk calendar (if you haven’t seen January’s I’ll put a link at the end of the post).

With Valentines day my theme this month was ‘Love’ so I’ve used Fairy Chloe and turned her into a little Cupid Chloe:

January is time for Snow Hugs

Morning All. Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I’m finally getting back into routine after the Christmas clear up and the huge amount of new children’s toys to find space for!

Back in the autumn I was lucky enough to have an article in Papercraft Essentials Magazine showing how to make a desk calendar. I knew straight away I wanted to use all my favourite Chloe images and as there are so many to choose from I was able to match the image to the season.

I loved how it turned out so I asked for the magazine to return it to me and it now has pride of place on the cabinet in my dining room.

Instead of overloading you with pictures I thought it would be nice to show you a page a month. Here is January’s using Snow Hugs:

Poppy in Onesie

Happy Tuesday All. Hope everyone is well. We've been having some lovely weather here on the South Coast of the UK and while the children have been playing in the garden I've taken the opportunity to sit under the parasol and do some colouring in. Once the children were safely tucked up in bed I managed to get one of the images Poppy in Onsie made into a card.

Have a great day

Baby Boy Bear

Happy Sunday All. Hope everyone is well. I was a lucky girl yesterday as Hubby took me to the Make-It show in Farnborough as an early birthday treat. I spent too much but I got some fabulous bargains and stocked up on double sided tape as well...lol.

Anyhoo back to the point of my post and I thought I would share some inspiration using Baby Boy Bear:
