Back to school!

Hello friends! Today it is my turn (Rebekah) to give you a little Gem of inspiration.
I have, very appropriately, chosen to make a back to school bookmark.
It's my eldest daughter's first day at high school today (gulp) so I felt it appropriate to mark the occasion!
I have used school girl Chloe available at Pink Gem Designs.
I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have added some different embellies for a completely unique bookmark.
For more details on this project just pop by my blog.
I hope you have been a little inspired today!
Big hugs

Jada

Hi from me, Sazzle, and welcome to Sunday!!

What better way to get your crafting day off to a good start than to bring you some inspiration for the day ahead using one of the new images from Pink Gem Designs called Jada and a technique for the flower frame that I picked up from a crafting buddy recently.

Here's my card:

and a close up of Jada...

The image was coloured with promarkers and the eyes, lips, hair bobbles and logo on the t-shirt have all had glossy accents added.

This is the first time I've coloured dark skin and black hair, so I've listed below the colours I've used although I'm sure there are many more combinations that work just as well:

Skin
(shading light to dark)
Cinnamon
Burnt Sienna
Umber
Coral (for the cheeks and lips)

Hair
(shading light to dark)
Cool Grey 1
Cool Grey 2
Cool Grey 3
Cool Grey 4
Cool Grey 5
Black 0.3 fineliner (to add extra curls)

For details of the flower frame please pop over to my crafting buddy Wendy's blog HERE where you will find her tutorial.
It really is so simple to make but so effective...

xx Happy crafting and glittery hugs xx

Jada With Bauble...

Hi everyone. It's Jenny here to share some inspiration with you today.

I've been having a little play with one of the new digis over at Pink Gem Designs. She's called Jada With Baubles...isn't she fab?

I coloured her using my Copics.

I haven't had much practise at colouring ethnic skin tones before, but the colours I ended up using were;
E31, E33, E35, E37 & a touch of E59 in the darkest areas.

I used R11, R14 & R17 for cheeks & lips.

For her hair I used;
E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47 & E49

I also used my new Dovecraft Christmas papers & buttons.

Hope you like my card today.
You can always check out my latest Pink Gem makes over on my blog.
Thanks for looking!

Tree Decorating

Good Morning. Hope you all had a good Bank Holiday weekend, a lovely sunny one would have  been great though, wouldn't it?

I have a card to show you using a NEW & verrrrry cute Pink Gem Designs Digi Stamp called Tree Decorating and is available HERE  I also used a gorgeous circle digi sentiment available HERE which can be cut using circle nesties or punched with a circle punch.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers, Spectrum Noir's & Prisma's although the download also comes with a pre-coloured image so it would be fab for batch card making. We do make loads of cards at Christmas don't we?

I also used: Dovecraft & Crafts Too papers
Memory Box Crystal Snowflake die
Martha Stewart punch
Ribbon adhesive pearls & ric-rac

Hope you have a great day & don't forget to pop back for some more inspiration from our lovely Design Team.
