Jada With Bauble...

Hi everyone. It's Jenny here to share some inspiration with you today.

I've been having a little play with one of the new digis over at Pink Gem Designs. She's called Jada With Baubles...isn't she fab?

I coloured her using my Copics.

I haven't had much practise at colouring ethnic skin tones before, but the colours I ended up using were;
E31, E33, E35, E37 & a touch of E59 in the darkest areas.

I used R11, R14 & R17 for cheeks & lips.

For her hair I used;
E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47 & E49

I also used my new Dovecraft Christmas papers & buttons.

Hope you like my card today.
You can always check out my latest Pink Gem makes over on my blog.
Thanks for looking!
Jenny xx

Tree Decorating

Good Morning. Hope you all had a good Bank Holiday weekend, a lovely sunny one would have  been great though, wouldn't it?

I have a card to show you using a NEW & verrrrry cute Pink Gem Designs Digi Stamp called Tree Decorating and is available HERE  I also used a gorgeous circle digi sentiment available HERE which can be cut using circle nesties or punched with a circle punch.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers, Spectrum Noir's & Prisma's although the download also comes with a pre-coloured image so it would be fab for batch card making. We do make loads of cards at Christmas don't we?

I also used: Dovecraft & Crafts Too papers
Memory Box Crystal Snowflake die
Martha Stewart punch
Ribbon adhesive pearls & ric-rac

Hope you have a great day & don't forget to pop back for some more inspiration from our lovely Design Team.

Tweeting you..

Hi there Christine here I wanted to share this cute Tweeting Bird creation I made
using one of Janet's digi images. The  NEW "Tweet Bird Set" are adorable and
so easy to use for a quick card & the colours are beautiful, so fresh & clean looking.

The birds are already coloured so it was easy to match them up with Pinkgemdesigns digi papers.

The Pinkgemdesign digi papers print onto whatever card/paper you like.
I used 200gsm bright white for this creation but textured card stock looks great too.
The digi papers I used are Smoothies for the layering Stripes for B/ground,
Pearls & Spellbinders  corner dies, MS doily punched border and ribbon from stash.

Hope you like what you see thanks for stopping by see you soon.

Rudy with Baubles

Hi, it's Vicky here, and it's my turn to inspire you, this time with a Christmas card...you can never start too early!!  I have used this gorgeous digi stamp from Pink Gem Designs called Rudy with Baubles, who can be purchased HERE.  He is a delight to colour, quite easy really, and I have used promarkers on watercolour paper, and enhanced the colour with polychromos pencils.

I have used very colourful paper, which I chose first and then coloured the image to match.  The papers are from my stash and they are a couple of years old, but I'm sure there will be something similar on the market this year.  I have not added much in the way of embellishments, as the paper is very busy.

Image - Pink Gem Designs
Colouring - Promarkers and Polychromos
Papers - My Minds Eye "O Christmas Tree"
Die - Nellie Snellen
Embellishments - Fabric ribbon & Gems from stash

I hope you like this card.  Don't forget to come back again for some more inspiration from our lovely Design Team.

Hello and Quick Hairtutorial...

Hi,
My name is Ria van Son and I am still doing the happy dance ever since Janet asked me if I wanted to be on her Design Team. Hmm guess what I said? NO AFCOURSE ;) hahahahaha no way afcourse I would love to be on her DT. I have loved Pink Gem Designs ever since I laid my eyes on them when Janet was still selling thru another website called Spiral Whispers. I have been making cards ever since I can remember but I seriously began again in 2007 when I had to stop with my Polymer Clay addiction. So I found another addiction making cards with cute stamps and over at Pink Gem Designs we have enough of those :)

So this is my first debut posting as a Design Team member for Pink Gem Designs :) and I made a little and very simple tutorial for you with how I colour the hair on most of my favourite fairies.

As I colour with Spectrum Noir markers you need TN2-TN3 and TN4
For the skin I used PP2 for the blush and then I added the skintones FS8 and FS4. The paper that I use for my stamped images is Clair Fontaine DCP 190 grams. This is easy available in Holland. The Digistamp that I used is Sprinkles with Attitude.

I start to colour the whole hair part with the TN2.
Then you take the TN3 and colour a large part of the hair and go over the TN2 but not all the way.
Then you take the TN4 and do almost the same only you do a smaller part with the TN4 and you leave parts of the TN 3 and TN2 alone.
Then you go over it all again with the TN2 and you blend all the colours nicely together. I told you it was quick and simple ;)
And here you see the skin tones that I used. They are very light compared to other brands but I kinda love that about the Spectrum Noir markers.

And this is the end result when she is made into a card. I finished my image off colouring the clothing first with Spectrum Noir markers and then with my Prismacolors and Sansodor.
I do hope you liked my quick and simple hairtutorial.

Hugs Ria
